"I want to share that I am accepting this award on behalf of all the innocent Palestinian people who have been killed, injured, or are suffering since October 7. This includes the innocent people—especially mothers and children—deeply affected by this conflict.

I also accept this on behalf of my incredible Palestinian colleagues—the doctors and nurses—who show up every day with grace, compassion, and love, despite the destruction of their homes, livelihoods, and the loss of family members. Many are now living in tents under horrific conditions, yet their strength and perseverance are beyond what I can imagine. They are my heroes. This honor truly belongs to them.

Please keep in your hearts both the hostages and those who were killed or injured on October 7 in Israel, as well as the innocent victims in Gaza. Let us continue to advocate for peace, wish for peace, and call for an immediate ceasefire—always leading with love, compassion, and a focus on our shared humanity."
